Via Po in Turin is preparing for a day of celebration. On 25 May 2025, Turin's historic street will come alive on the occasion of the Feast of Neighbours #VersoTorino2033, celebrating its reopening after redevelopment work. An event that is part of Turin's candidature as European Capital of Culture 2033.
The day will be full of appointments: after the institutional inauguration, space will be given to a convivial moment featuring local groups and associations. The programme will continue with musical and theatrical moments and street entertainment. The shopkeepers will participate in the initiative with special initiatives organised inside the shops.
The festive day in Via Po will also be the occasion to launch the civic action “Legami Europei” (European links), within the framework of Turin's candidacy as European Capital of Culture for 2033, aimed at realising the first mapping of personal and emotional relations between the citizens of Turin and those of other European cities, thanks to the collaboration with the GXT and Senior Civic volunteer projects.
A map updated in real time that will enable us to humanise the European dimension of our project.
They will enhance their network of relations with international cultural bodies and institutions, but they will also leverage the links between the citizens of the Member States, as these contribute fully to the creation and strengthening of Europe's cultural identity.
Torino 2033's candidacy process is now in full swing, and in the coming months the opportunities for participation and civic protagonism will multiply.

The Festa di via Po is part of the Festa dei Vicini programme that will animate the weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May with more than 90 initiatives spread across all the Circoscrizioni.
